Sharon Babineau is a decorated military soldier, mountain climber, hockey player inspirational speaker, facilitator and author. Sharon is a recipient of many awards including “Volunteer of the Year”, ‘Heroine in the Home” and recently “Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Her story has been featured in print, radio, TV and on CBC’s show “No Opportunity Wasted.” (Phil Keoghan – Amazing Race) Sharon is the contributing author of Chicken Soup for the Soul – Family Caregiver and her daughter’s amazing story –The Girl Who Gave Her Wish Away, published Dec 2012.
Sharon has studied at the University of Toronto – Applied Mindfulness Program, Mindfulness without Borders and The Centre for Compassion and Wisdom. She is a trained Facilitator in Transformative Mindfulness and the 16 Guidelines to a Happy Life. A charismatic leader of “SHIFT your Mind, CHANGE your Life”, she has facilitated seminars, support groups and workshops for over a decade, and speaks from the heart as she shares personal life experiences and teaches effective self-help methods to create lasting positive changes, especially during times of uncertainty, increased stress, or loss.
After a series of unimaginable losses, and through her own “shift”, she vowed to become fearless not fearful. Through her expertise and experience, Sharon shows her audiences how to embrace change, breakthrough limitations and discover their shift!
Sharon is a trained facilitator in Transformative Mindfulness, the 16 Guidelines to Life and the Five Gentle Yogas. She incorporates the self-empowerment techniques she has learned to heal, to teach effective self-help methods, and to create lasting positive changes, especially during times of uncertainty, increased stress, or loss. She carefully customizes her presentations for each group, to ensure they are empowering, unforgettable, and for many life-changing.

It is a powerful message of how a girl, diagnosed with terminal cancer and given the chance to fulfill a wish, anything she wanted, chose to use her precious wish to make a difference in the world. It is an inspirational message that illustrates the power of one person to change the world. This presentation is a must for high schools or anyone wanting to be reminded of the power of the spirit.
